2:16pm. Jess is dilated 7-8 cm. as of the last measurement at 2:00. She's doing good, eating popsicles and watching animal planet. Because of the epidural, she is not allowed to eat but is tolerated to have popsicles. When we asked what flavor popsicles are available, the nurse answered, "Green, Blue, Red, Orange, and Purple." Jess is eating the "green" flavored popsicle.

They also gave Jess an oxygen mask to ensure the baby is getting enough oxygen.

    man! they offer you popsicles but make you wear an oxygen mask? how does that work? i'm glad she's not in pain....hopefully you guys won't have to wait long!

    haha......green flavored popsicles. Hope that's flavored like "lime" or "apple" and not like the innumerable OTHER possibilities within the green color spectrum....:)

    I'm so happy for you both, and for little Nehemiah. What wonderful parents you are going to be, and what a gift he is to you and to us!! I heard about his birth from Jess' Uncle Mike, since I get to work with him (he's my boss). I hope that these next few days are full of joy and rest for you, Jess, and that the next months and years bring you both more joy than you can even imagine right now.
